What goes in the candles?
This is a question I am asked a lot – with good reason, really! If you are burning a candle in your home you want to know exactly what it could be releasing into the air and this is something I am very passionate about – the eco friendly and body positive ingredients I use.
To start, all my candles are made from vegan, 100% vegetable eco friendly, soy wax.
My soy wax is made from soy beans grown in a 100% GM free way with no pesticides or herbicides used at any stage. Naturally bio-degradable, soy wax is such an eco friendly product.
My soy wax candles burn cleaner than paraffin wax. Paraffin wax is a cheaper alternative commonly used to make candles and made from crude oil. The problem with paraffin wax is that it creates petrol-carbon soot that can blacken walls as well as releasing toxic carcinogens in to the air.
My soy wax is not subject to any kind of animal testing and isn’t greasy – if you spill any wax it can be easily cleaned up with soap and hot water.
In short, soy wax is fantastic and I love it! I am sure you will love it, too.
I love finding unusual and unique scent oils, and many of my candles are made from blends of high quality scent oils to create a one of a kind fragrance. All of my oils are of the very highest quality.
I try not to colour my candles as I prefer the lovely clean white look provided by the soy wax. I add my little wax decorations for a splash of colour! But, when I do I use only the cleanest colourants that will not release anything nasty into the air around you.
